Technical Details
No Thank You, Divas
We want to help you do your best, but also, we want it to be easy for us. There are up to 16 acts in a night, so we try to minimize the hassel. The tech time is from 6:30 to 7pm. The sound will never be perfect, so we only do sound-quality checks if we have extra time. The best is for you to watch the show. When it's time to perform, you enter from the house, do whatever quick setup (like plug in your guitar), if you have setup, and do your thang.
Audio Playback
If you have a track to play during your act, we can play it off:
- an audio file you send to us via email (preferred)
- a USB drive
- your device's headphone jack.
- Or maybe the house band can play you some music?
Audio Inputs
We have three wired mikes on boom stands. We have a Direct (DI) box. We have a few spare XLR ports too.

- Overhead Clearance: 12'4" from stage to overhead beams
Acrobats
What to bring: Carabiner(s), swivel, apparatus
What we have: Span sets, zip ties, electrical tape, snippers, a 2" x 2' x 4' mat for stretching, theraballs, foam roller, changing booth, advil
Two single rigging points available:
Point #1: Center Stage
Classic spotlight position! Rigged from steel beam upright straddling the stage. Spanset basketed around beam with shackle, zip-tied for safety.
- Height: 11'9" beginning height
- Location: 7'4" from front of stage, 8'3" from back, 12'7" from stage left upright, 13'5" from stage right upright
- Orbit: ~6 ft safe radius
- Access: Use venue's A-frame ladder (see Ethan, head house tech)
- Rigging options:
- Standard: Carabiner to shackle (carabiner-swivel-carabiner-apparatus)
- Max height: Cut zip tie, attach swivel to shackle, re-zip-tie (shackle-swivel-carabiner-apparatus)
- Less height: Add spanset(s) of desired length
- Storage: House pick pulls apparatus stage left to computer desk (keep bottle on!)
Point #2: Between Stage and Audience
Tighter space, greater perceived height extending toward theater floor. Intimate and impactful!
- Height: 15'9" to theater floor (12'9" to stage)
- Location: 2' from stage, 2'4" from seating step, 3'4" stage right of center
- Access: Blue extension ladder stored stage left (see Ethan)
- Rigging: Spansets over full bow truss with shackle. Same setup options as center point
- Storage: Pick to stage right. Secure rope in ascender attached to weight behind curtain
